In RE, we have been learning about Ourselves and Family. We have discussed how we are all part of God’s family and the importance of putting our faith into action.  We have learned about how this family includes our global neighbours, sharing ways we can share our love with them also.  We are all part of God’s creation and we have reflected upon our Stewardship over God’s Earth. During Noah Day, we wrote down promises to care for our environment and linked them altogether to demonstrate we are linked together in Love.

In Science, we have been learning about materials and their properties.  Through practical experiments, we have investigated sieving, filtering, dissolving and solutions,

We created water filters using layering to demonstrate how the different sized holes in the layers trap particles and clean the water.  Moving on from this, we investigated mixing different materials together to observe if they formed a solution.  This led us to learning about the process of dissolving.  We then tested the affect of temperature on the speed of dissolving.  We tested cold, warm and hot water and our results showed us that the higher the temperature, the faster the rate of dissolving.

In History, we have been learning about the Vikings, focussing on ‘Were they raiders, traders or something else?

We began the term creating a timeline of the Viking period organising the key events chronologically.
